Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at our Topton, PA site. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with six-month commitment and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations, following site procedures and documenting details.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking locations, and facility perimeter.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Driver Entry Exception Handling in Topton, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)

• Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential. Candidates should be comfortable navigating software applications, entering data, and utilizing communication tools effectively.

Customer Service Experience (B219)

• A background in customer service is required. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to handle inquiries and complaints professionally, and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients and visitors.

Security Experience

• Candidates must have a minimum of one year of relevant security experience (C115).
• All communications regarding this requirement should emphasize the importance of prior experience in ensuring the safety and security of our operations.

Valid Driver's License

• Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license in the job state (C124).
• It is essential to verify the validity of the driver’s license during the interview process and document this verification in the candidate’s file.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals in accordance with facility procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized entry by observing activity at entrances, gates, and/or designated access areas and reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and documenting relevant details.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking locations, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
