Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while enforcing site-specific procedures and security policies at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents and unusual activity calmly and follow emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry; report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Job Schedule

• Tue: 05:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response protocols when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious circumstances.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations and security‑related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
