Job Description

As a Security Guard Driver Patrol Site Inspections in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and report security-related concerns. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, utility infrastructure, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, equipment concerns, and access-control issues to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
