Allied Universal is hiring for a Security Guard Driver Controlled Access in Port Saint Lucie, FL. You will monitor entry points, verify access, and help residents while delivering courteous customer service in a dynamic community setting.

This full-time role requires security experience, a valid driver's license, and a Certified Protection Officer certification. You will work driving shifts and participate in routine patrols with a strong emphasis on safety and service.

Qualifications

• Two years security-related experience required.
• A valid driver’s license in the job location state.
• Certified Protection Officer certification required.
• DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy or corrections academy certificate.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors while enforcing access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points and verify authorization for access; maintain records.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents and resident concerns.
• Communicate clearly with residents, guests, management, and emergency responders about access matters.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry areas and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.

Security Guard Driver Controlled Access in Port Saint Lucie, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, assisting residents and visitors, and responding to security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. This is a driving position. Pay Rate: $20.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, community policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for access, and maintain visitor, vendor, and vehicle entry records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Communicate clearly with residents, guests, management, and emergency responders regarding access-control matters and site-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community entry areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a Certified Protection Officer certification.
• Provide a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
