Allied Universal® in Seattle, WA is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Communications Operator to support public transportation locations. You will coordinate dispatch communications, monitor activity, and document incidents while delivering strong customer service.

This Part Time position offers flexible scheduling with day and night shifts and opportunities to grow within a dynamic security team. A background check and drug screening are part of the application process.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain dispatch logs and incident reports per site procedures.

Pay Rate: $28.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Fri 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to transit agency clients, employees, passengers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and coordinate dispatch communications, receive calls for service, document incidents, and relay timely information to field personnel and appropriate stakeholders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established communication and escalation protocols.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and other required records in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned facilities, transit locations, and perimeter areas as directed; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
