Pittsburgh Mercy seeks a part-time Safety and Risk Management professional to maintain order and ensure safety in facilities. The role involves risk assessment, emergency preparedness, and compliance with safety regulations. Ideal candidates are confident, friendly, and possess a high school diploma along with relevant security experience.
POSITION PURPOSE:
We’re looking for someone who is confident, positive, friendly, and who can help to maintain order in our facilities, daily… and in case of emergency. If you’re calm and like talking to a wide range of people, we’d love to talk to you!
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
1. Risk Assessment: Assessing risks associated with various workplace activities and processes and implementing measures to mitigate those risks.
2. Safety Policies and Procedures: Implementing safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and organization policies.
3. Safety Compliance: Ensuring that the workplace complies with relevant safety regulations and standards and safeguard consumers, visitors, employees, and property from harm, abuse, trespass, fire, theft, and other hazards.
4. Emergency Preparedness: Implementing emergency response plans and conducting drills to ensure that employees are prepared to respond effectively to emergencies.
5. Safety Communication: Facilitating communication between management and employees regarding safety issues, initiatives, and best practices.
6. Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for improving safety performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or Equivalency
1 year security experience
Act 33/34/73 (Child, Criminal and Department of Human Services FBI)
Pre-employment Drug Screen
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS AND BENEFITS:
WORKSCHEDULE: (This is a non-exempt/hourly position) Shifts available Daylight, Second and Overnight.
