Job Description

As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Operations in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a critical utilities location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism. Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, substations, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Maintain required reports and activity logs, and handle authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal, client, and applicable legal requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
