Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Armed Security Officer in Newark, NJ to protect clients at a financial institution and adjacent facilities. This role emphasizes visible security presence, incident response, and professional service to employees and visitors.

Qualified candidates have a concealed carry permit, an armed guard card, and a valid driver's license. Retired law enforcement with RPO is preferred.

As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and armed guard card or license. Deliver exceptional customer service, clear communication, and professional response while demonstrating our agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $30.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, following established procedures for visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• MUST BE RETIRED LAW ENFORCEMENT WITH RPO.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
