Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with laws.
• Criminal histories may be considered in line with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, parking areas, and perimeter.

• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security findings and actions.

Job Description

As a Security Guard Access Control Patrol in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a financial institution location. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors. Using strong communication and teamwork, you will respond to security-related concerns with integrity while contributing to a welcoming, professional environment.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and other stakeholders at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns, patrol findings, and response actions.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
