Allied Universal in Franklin Lakes, NJ is seeking a Security Guard Access Control Driver to safeguard facilities and support a welcoming environment. You will manage access points, verify credentials, patrol assigned areas, and respond calmly to incidents.

This full-time role requires a valid driver's license and strong customer service skills; CPR/First Aid are preferred, with on-site work and opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in the state of New Jersey.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs and issue/recover visitor badges or temporary credentials.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations.

Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

• Wed: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation in accordance with healthcare location requirements.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, issue and recover visitor badges or temporary credentials, and report discrepancies to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
