Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by following security procedures and site policies.

• Monitor access by verifying authorized entry, documenting visitor activity, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation for Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Guard Access Control in Aurora, CO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.49 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time: Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized entry, documenting visitor and contractor activity, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
