Job summary

Allied Universal in Seattle, WA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to protect clients across aerospace/defense locations. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and deliver professional customer service.

The Fri/Sat/Sun 6:00 AM–2:00 PM shift offers a flexible weekend schedule. The role requires at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed), a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations; may be required pre-employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to restricted aerospace and defense locations by verifying credentials, visitor authorizations, and entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and access-control records; issue and recover authorized access credentials as directed by site policy.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report irregular conditions.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
