Job summary

GDI Integrated Facility Services in Sumter, SC is hiring a Security Guard to protect client sites during the 2:00PM-10:00PM shift. You will be part of a team delivering reliable security across our facilities.

Responsibilities include monitoring premises, documenting incidents with detailed reports, inspecting doors and gates, and responding to emergencies. Qualified candidates have prior security-related experience, familiarity with security equipment, and the ability to stand or patrol for

Qualifications

• Experience in security, military, or law enforcement preferred.
• Familiarity with security equipment and procedures.
• Ability to stand and walk during patrols with light physical effort.
• Strong attention to detail in monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions.
• Fill out detailed reports of incidents.
• Inspect doors, windows, and gates for proper function.
• Warn violators about rules and regulations.
• Report fire hazards and water leaks.
• Request emergency assistance for high-risk situations.
• Use security software to annotate events during shifts.
• Patrol around property and check predetermined points.
• Work as part of a team.

Security Guard Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Fill out reports with a high level of detail.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
• Successfully use the provided software to annotate events that occur during shift.
• Make regular trips around the property and scan the pre-determined points as directed by management.
• Work as part of a team

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or other related fields
• Familiarity with security equipment
• Ability to handle a light physical workload. Ability to stand and/or walk assigned patrols.
• Strong attention to detail
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• Meet and continuously maintain grooming standards.
• Have a reliable means of transportation
