Responsibilities

• Secure building and property by inspecting doors, lights, and safety equipment.

• Transport ill or injured students as needed.
• Respond to alarms; report fires and assist in safety procedures.
• Promote and adhere to safety practices throughout the facility.

Wage- $21.00 per hour

Schedule –Full Time, 8hr shifts,days vary with occasional overtime.

Whatyou will be doing:You’ll be responsible for patrolling center grounds, manages front desks for guests sign-in and temporary badges distribution, monitors that all staff and students wear ID badges, and ensures the safety of staff, students, and visitors. Control, surveillance, identification, monitoring, investigation, and reporting of all matters pertaining to center property, facilities, students, staff, and visitors.

Essential functions:

1. Secure building and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks and emergency equipment’ maintain log of findings and corrective action taken
2. Perform parking and traffic control duties
3. Answer telephone calls and greet and assist visitors.
4. Assist supervisors and manager assuring accountability of students check-in and out according to established policies and procedures.
5. Assist in transporting ill or injured students as required.
6. Respond to fire alarms, take necessary steps to report fires, assist in suppressing fires and resent fire alarm equipment
7. Promote, support, and adhere to safety practices throughout the facility.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School or GED and two (2) years experience related
• Must maintain a current Security Guard Card & CPR/first aid certification.
• Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry student luggage weighing up to 70 lbs. and frequently climb stairs and walk outdoors on uneven terrain.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record. .
