Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a dedicated security professional for a full-time day shift role in Reading, PA. You will monitor all persons and vehicles entering or leaving the facility, maintain logs, and assist in coordinating emergency responses to ensure safety and order.

Responsibilities include directing staff and visitors, reporting suspicious activity, and conducting routine sweeps of parking and lobby areas. A valid driver's license and CPR/de-escalation certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years’ experience in security, corrections or military.
• Valid state driver's license.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Overview

This is a full-time day shift position.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for monitoring all persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving facility property.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.
• Keep accurate log books, as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility.
• Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.
• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
