Geisinger Behavioral Health Danville is seeking a dedicated Security Guard to help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. As the first point of contact entering our facility, you'll support emergency response efforts, monitor safety, and contribute as a key member of the care team.

This visible role includes directing admissions, coordinating with staff, and ensuring orderly operations across the facility.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years’ experience in security, corrections or military.
• Valid state driver's license.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training provided).
• First aid may be required depending on state or facility.

Mansioni

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.

Overview

Geisinger Behavioral Health Danville is looking for a dedicated Security Guard to help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. In this visible role, you'll be the first point of contact for everyone entering our facility, while supporting emergency response efforts, monitoring facility safety, and serving as a key member of our care team.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.


• Keep accurate log books, as required.


• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills.


• Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.


• Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility.


• Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.


• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.


• Two or more years’ experience in security, corrections or military.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid state driver's license.


• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).


• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
