Job summary

Securitas USA in Portland, OR is hiring a Security Guard for full-time coverage. The role includes patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors.

Shift schedule includes Wednesday-Sunday 3pm-11pm and Monday-Friday 6:45am-2:45pm. No experience required; 18+, high school diploma or GED, and basic computer skills are needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• 6 months of security experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Calm under pressure with quick and effective judgement in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, & entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.

Site Location: Portland, OR

Wage : $22.00-$22.50/HR

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.
