Job summary

Kaleida Health is seeking a dedicated Security Guard for Olean General Hospital. The Security Guard will act as a hub of activity, maintaining a safe environment and assisting patients and visitors. The role requires a current Security Guard Registration, CPI training, and BLS certification.

This is a per-diem position with variable hours, and the candidate must be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Possess a current Security Guard Registration with New York Department.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention training with annual refreshers.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors.
• Perform routine rounds to ensure security.
• Assist patients and visitors in reaching their destinations.
• Enforce parking assignments.
• Respond to emergencies and assist as required.

Overview

Security Guard Location: Olean General Hospital. Location of Job: US:NY:Olean. Work Type: Per-Diem. Shift 2.

Responsibilities

• The Security Guard is the hub of activity, the source of information to patients and visitors and the first contact to the community for requests and inquiries. Proactively seeks to be helpful and ensures any special needs are met.
• Perform routine rounds and maintain a safe and secure environment at Olean General Hospital properties (interior/exterior).
• Greet patients and visitors and assist them to their destination.
• Maintain and enforce parking assignments.
• Respond to Manpower and Security Assist codes as required.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Education and Credentials: High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess a current Security Guard Registration with the New York Department of State, Division of Licensing Services: Article 7A of The General Business Law.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required with annual refresher courses.
• BLS required.
