Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a security officer to cover airport-area locations in Houston, TX. The role includes patrolling, monitoring, and responding to incidents to ensure safety and compliance.

The position requires a valid Texas security license, is 21+, with customer service or security experience preferred. Compensation is hourly with weekly pay, and ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. Military veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid Texas non-commission (Level II) security license.
• Prior experience in customer service or security.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and securing assigned premises to prevent unauthorized access or activities.
• Responding promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents in accordance with company protocols.
• Directing and assisting customers, visitors, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure safety and compliance with security procedures.
• Writing detailed incident reports and maintaining accurate security logs.
• Collaborating with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary.
• Enforcing site rules and regulations while maintaining a visible and professional presence.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the site supervisor or security manager.

Job description

Pay: $15.00/hour, paid weekly

Shift: Thursday thru Monday - 3:00 pm - 8:30 pm, Tuesday & Wednesday off.

Location: Coverage includes both the George Bush Intercontinental Airport area and the Beltway 8/1-45 corridor
