Base pay range

$16.74/yr - $21.60/yr

The salary range is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills, and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, screen, and control access to the facility; maintain logs; operate security systems; and monitor video surveillance.
• Ensure the safety of the facility and its clients.
• Enforce rules and monitor client behavior and activities.
• Assist with medication monitoring and record-keeping.
• Communicate with shifts and document incidents and occurrences.
• Perform emergency response, including CPR and first aid.
• Complete and submit reports and statistics promptly.
• Attend supervision, staff meetings, and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Security License required.
• 1-2 years of security experience preferred.
• Experience with homeless populations, mental health, and substance abuse is preferred.
• Ability to obtain fire safety certification within six months.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications within three months.
• Basic computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills; ability to work independently or in a team.
• Foreign languages are a plus.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings; ability to remain on post until relieved.
