Job summary

GDI, Inc. in Murrells Inlet, SC is hiring a Security Guard to monitor premises, prevent theft, and ensure compliance with site rules. The role requires reliable availability and ability to work shifts, including evenings or weekends.

You will complete detailed incident reports, conduct patrols, and cooperate with a team using security software and equipment. HS diploma or equivalent and grooming standards are required; transportation is a must.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or related fields.
• Familiarity with security equipment.
• Ability to stand and/or walk assigned patrols.
• Strong attention to detail.
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
• Meet and continuously maintain grooming standards.
• Have a reliable means of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Fill out reports with a high level of detail.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations.
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
• Use security software to annotate events during shift.
• Make regular rounds, scanning predetermined points as directed.
• Work as part of a team.

Job Duties:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Fill out reports with a high level of detail.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
• Successfully use the provided software to annotate events that occur during shift.
• Make regular trips around the property and scan the pre-determined points as directed by management.
• Work as part of a team

Requirements:
