Job summary

Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Security Guard to maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, visitors and guests. The role involves responding to emergencies, monitoring cameras, patrolling the facility, and securing exits.

This position offers both full-time and part-time options and includes days, evening, and night shifts. You will work with nursing and maintenance staff to address safety concerns and report daily surveillance activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety and security practices, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all facility emergencies/codes in a timely manner and facilitate the resolution as needed
• Ensure cameras are monitored, guests and visitors are signed in, resident safety checks are performed as scheduled, and emergency response is timely and appropriate for the situation
• Investigate all allegations of missing items from residents, in cooperation with the nursing staff, families, and local law enforcement authorities
• Coordinate efforts with the Maintenance and Housekeeping departments to resolve safety hazards or issues of non-compliance as identified
• Oversee incoming and outgoing mail functions
• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Remove wrongdoers and trespassers from the facility as needed
• Secure all exits, doors, and windows throughout the facility
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences

Job Summary

As a Security Guard, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facility, its residents, employees, visitors, and guests. This includes responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, monitoring cameras, and patrolling premises. You'll also be responsible for overseeing mail functions, securing exits, and submitting daily surveillance reports.
