Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Security Guard for full-time work in Meridian, ID. The role involves access control, patrolling the premises, and interacting with employees and guests while maintaining safety and security standards.

Compensation is $20.00 per hour with multiple shifts available Thursday-Monday, 3pm-11pm; Saturday-Sunday, 7am-3pm; and Tuesday-Wednesday, 3pm-11pm. Paid training and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record.
• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete GED within 6 months.
• Standard computer skills.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Ability to interact calmly with a wide range of individuals.
• Attention to detail and staying alert during shift.
• Pre-employment screening including drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform access control at security entrances/exits.
• Conduct patrols inside/outside client premises in various weather, on foot or in a vehicle.
• Interact with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed written reports.
• Work in a team to meet site goals and complete duties for the assigned site.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct patrols inside / outside the client’s premises, potentially in various weather conditions both on foot and in a vehicle.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed written reports.
• Work in a team environment to ensure site / organizational goals are achieved daily.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
