Securitas USA is hiring a Security Guard — Full Time for Hillsboro, OR. The role involves patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance systems, and controlling access to protect people and assets. Excellent communication and the ability to work independently are essential.

The ideal candidate will be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, proficient computer skills, and a commitment to safety and professional conduct on site.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above-average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift. Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, and entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
• Control building access by verifying identification, checking credentials, and managing visitor logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and security incidents.
• Enforce security protocols, company rules, and regulations for premises, personnel, and visitors.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and security equipment to prevent unauthorized access.
• Investigate suspicious activities, behavior, and security breaches.

Wage: $22.00/HR

Schedules

• Thursday 12am-6am, Thursday - Saturday 6pm-6am
• Sunday - Tuesday 6pm-6am, Wednesday 6pm-12am
  

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

The ideal candidate is technically proficient, self-directed, and capable of remaining productive during downtime by support site operations, training, complaince efforts, and administrative tasks. This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgement, attention to details, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment.
