Job summary

Fivetran in Oakland, CA is hiring a hands-on Technical Program Manager (security) to lead security initiatives across the engineering org. You will partner with Security and Engineering to plan, execute, and deliver vulnerability management, risk-based roadmaps, and shift-left practices in a multi-cloud environment.

This full-time role blends remote and on-site work, with two days a week in the Oakland office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical program management with a security focus.
• Experience in vulnerability management and cloud security.
• Ability to coordinate with product teams, SRE/QE engineers, and developers.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP and secure SDLC concepts.
• Hands-on with SAST/DAST tools and automation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead security vulnerability management across infrastructure, code, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with Security and Engineering to identify, prioritize, and patch vulnerabilities; provide technical oversight.
• Evaluate tools, drive automation, and improve security processes.
• Use AI insights to define a proactive security roadmap based on risk.
• Run dependency management and image hardening programs.
• Lead a code scanning program with infra, eng, and security teams for seamless integration.
• Dedicate up to 20% of time to proactive vulnerability assessment and standards development.
• Advocate shift-left security across the development lifecycle.
