Job summary
Comcast is seeking a Software Developer III to build secure, scalable applications and help protect systems used by millions of customers. You will join a forward-thinking team delivering innovative cybersecurity solutions.
You will develop secure software components, build reusable code frameworks, and mentor junior engineers while participating in code reviews and deployment activities. A strong background in secure coding and DevOps practices is expected.
Qualifications
- Experience in software design, development and production support.
- Strong secure coding and application security knowledge.
- Familiarity with build and deployment automation.
- Experience with multiple programming languages.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies; TDD/BDD is a plus.
- Experience with open-source frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance secure software components for Comcast systems.
- Build reusable and secure code frameworks.
- Identify security gaps and implement improvements.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure best security practices.
- Support end-to-end development, including testing and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
