Job summary

Allied Universal, Plano, TX, is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide unarmed security services at a designated site. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with optional extra shifts through a scheduling platform to boost earnings, and the schedule includes Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM.

Pay rate is $18.50 per hour. You will participate in a six-month anchor shift commitment, with opportunities to accrue up to 40 hours per week and grow into a full-time schedule if desired.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident reports.
• Support a professional workplace environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following established protocols for alarms and emergencies.

Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
