Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Installer to work onsite with our commercial customers, setting up and programming Integrated Security fire and security systems. The role involves dismantling and reconstructing equipment as required and coordinating with authorities for emergencies.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of electrical/electronic experience, read blueprints and schematics, and can safely operate hand and power tools and a fleet vehicle.

Qualifications

• Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State and Local codes.
• 3–5 years of electrical and electronic equipment experience.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and manuals.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate a fleet vehicle safely at all times.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install devices and dismantle/reconstruct equipment as required by the customer.
• Work safely to prevent injuries and protect property and materials.
• Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and notify emergency services as needed.
• Read and follow schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Test system operation and establish service with the monitoring center.
• May lead installation teams on larger projects and mentor junior installers.
