Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Installer to work onsite with our commercial customers to set up and program Integrated Security fire and security systems. The role includes dismantling and reconstructing equipment when required and coordinating with authorities as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of electrical/electronic experience, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• 3+ years electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a fleet vehicle safely.
• Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Installs devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customer or Tyco Integrated Security.
• Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, and debris.
• Contacts customers prior to installation to verify schedule.
• Prepares estimates as directed by supervisor.
• Follows wiring diagrams and hookup procedures.
• Tests system operation and communicates with the signal-receiving center.
