Security Field Service Manager - Now Hiring!

Location: Bloomington, IL

Pay: $48K-$50K/year

The Field Service Manager (FSM) supports the District Manager (DM) with afterhours/overnight support for the daily business functions. The FSM performs site inspections and ensures that post orders are being followed. They will provide support to employees and clients after business hours. The FSM will assist the DM by making weekly schedule adjustments, providing payroll support, training, development, and retention of high-caliber staff, and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Essential Functions:

  1. Manage a shift and/or segment of guarding operations at multiple sites, including supervision of subordinate officers and supervisory staff; ensure high-quality service delivery.
  2. Ensure service expectations are met through afterhours/weekend support; evaluate service quality, inspect posts, and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
  3. Meet with line management and/or client representatives for status updates and to address potential problems; support during client start-ups; contribute to security planning, assessments, and surveys; review post orders and communicate changes to staff.
  4. Coordinate with line management on staff orientation, training, development, and retention; ensure respectful treatment of staff; coach employees and carry out disciplinary actions when necessary.
  5. Maintain and submit payroll records and other employee/business information; review reports for accuracy and timeliness.
  6. Maintain a positive, professional environment compliant with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; ensure staff understanding and compliance.
  7. Communicate and coordinate with line management on scheduling, staffing, equipment, and record keeping; make adjustments to meet client needs while controlling labor costs; review reports to ensure commitments are met.
  8. Perform similar tasks and duties as required for the assigned office.

Minimum Hiring Standards:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Reliable communication means, such as a cell phone.
  • Reliable transportation (public or private).
  • Valid driver’s license in the resident state/country.
  • Legal right to work in the country of residence.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • High School diploma, secondary education equivalent, or GED.
  • Willing to participate in pre-employment screening, including drug tests and background checks.
  • Hold or be able to obtain a valid Private Security Authority (PSA) License.

Education/Experience:

Associate’s Degree and 1 year of security operations experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional relevant experience can substitute for education on a one-to-one basis.
