Job summary

Leidos in Reston, VA is seeking a Security Engineer Solution Architect to lead security across a primarily cloud-based platform for a Defense Intelligence Enterprise client. You will guide ATO processes, governance, and accreditation assurance while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with poly, strong DoD RMF experience, and expertise in CISSP or equivalent. Expect hybrid work with on-site collaboration in NCR/Reston locations.

Qualifications

• BS degree and 15+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 15+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain/maintain a Polygraph.
• DoD 8570.01-M IASAE Level II certs: CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CSSLP, or CASP+ CE.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800 publications and CNSSI 1253.
• Experience RMF/ATO for DoD/IC systems.
• Experience with incident response plans, POA&Ms, risk and vulnerability management.
• Experience establishing SSE management to integrate security and privacy controls.
• Experience leading a team of CSEs and ISSOs.
• Experience using Tenable Security Center and related tools.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, firewalls, VPCs, PKI.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to streamline ATO management with engineering solutions.
• Lead architecture and implementation of streamlined security, governance, and accreditation models.
• Provide expert technical guidance to team members on security solutions.
• Interact with client CIO and Security POCs.
• Create, improve, and maintain security policies and procedures.
• Provide OS hardening and patching guidance per DISA STIGs and NIST.
• Analyze security incidents and deliver remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver quality service and product.
