Job summary

Amazon in Seattle, WA is seeking a Security Engineering Manager for the Customer Service Security team. You will lead a team spanning devices to cloud-scale data processing, driving security from design to deployment.

You will own the security posture, partner with engineering and operations, and guide risk-driven decisions while enabling Customer Service to deliver secure, high-quality experiences for Amazon customers.

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on security engineering experience.
10+ years of risk assessment and enabling organizations making security decisions experience.
10+ years of team management and building (including coaching and mentoring) experience.
10+ years of communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Responsibilities

Independently manage a two-pizza team of engineers, develop their careers, and foster a culture of security ownership and inclusivity.
Identify risks across our technology stack and drive them to resolution.
Be the primary voice of security in the development process—partnering with development and operations teams to ensure security is embedded from design through deployment, not addressed as an afterthought.
Participate in three-year planning, annual planning, and business updates outlining plans and progress.
