Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Senior Director of Security Engineering to serve as the CISO’s operating partner and lead the engineering execution for Product and Cloud Security. This role owns a large, multi-domain security engineering organization and partners with senior leaders to embed security across the SDLC.

You will shape a multi-year roadmap, drive measurable engineering outcomes, and ensure privacy-by-design principles across products and infrastructure, including AI security and supplier

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of large, multi-domain security teams (30+ engineers).
• Experience with privacy-by-design architectures and data lifecycle engineering.
• Proven track record delivering multi-year security programs from strategy to execution.
• Strong coding background and security engineering foundation.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end security engineering organization spanning product security, cloud security, identity and access management, and privacy engineering.
• Define and drive multi-year security engineering roadmap and translate policy into executable programs.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Legal, Privacy, and Trust & Safety leaders to embed security in SDLC.
• Lead threat modeling, secure design reviews, and developer security enablement as core capabilities.
• Build and mentor a global security engineering team and governance across domains.
