Job summary

Raptive is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to own and evolve our security program across cloud, platform, and applications. You will work closely with SRE, product, and engineering to embed security into everyday delivery while guiding risk-based decisions and architecture choices.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience owning significant parts of an information security program.
• Broad security experience across cloud, infrastructure, application, data, identity, and corporate environments.
• Experience working with SRE, platform, and software engineering teams to embed security into delivery workflows.
• Strong technical judgment in security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and risk prioritization.
• Proven ability to operate in a fast-moving, resource-conscious environment with initiative.
• Clear, credible communication of security strategy to executives.

Responsibilities

• Own the security program end to end: strategy, architecture, policies, risk management, cadence, and a prioritized roadmap with measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with SRE to design, implement, and operate secure cloud and infrastructure foundations including IAM, vulnerability mgmt, logging, detection, and incident readiness.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve application and product security through secure design, threat modeling, reviews, testing, and remediation guidance.
• Lead security assurance activities including third-party risk, security awareness, audits, and SOC 2 compliance with a focus on effective controls.
• Coach engineers, SREs, and business partners to make sound security decisions and raise organizational security capability.
• Communicate security vision, risk, and progress to executives and stakeholders with clear business impact.
• Ensure alignment across application and platform security controls with unified standards and tooling.
• Drive shift-left security in the SDLC with threat modeling and secure design reviews in partnership with Engineering and Product.
• Mature vulnerability management and remediation orchestration with triage workflows and SLA tracking.
• Represent Security Engineering across the organization and influence roadmap, resources, and investment priorities.
