Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Director of Security Engineering to lead critical security initiatives across SaaS platforms and core infrastructure. You will drive multi-year strategy while actively coding and reviewing to ensure secure-by-design practices and strong regulatory resiliency.

You will mentor a team of security and software engineers, manage staffing and budgets, and partner with stakeholders across product and technology.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering and security experience.
• 5+ years experience running teams of engineers delivering security solutions on cloud-based platforms.
• Full-Stack Mastery: expert in multiple coding solutions and scalable distributed systems.
• Experience building security engineering products for public cloud apps/infrastructure.
• Security foundations: OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, TLS/SSL in CASB/Proxy contexts.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end development of firmwide security products; remain hands-on in code.
• Influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business/tech teams.
• Lead integration of security controls into platforms with Security-by-Design mindset.
• Own decisions impacting resources, budget, and operating procedures.
• Deliver technical solutions usable across multiple businesses and domains.
• Maintain hands-on technical contribution: write/review code, design systems, troubleshoot production issues.
• Develop and execute the function’s objectives and outcomes.
• Mentor and scale security and software engineers; foster CI/CD and TDD culture.
• Staffing, budget, and relevant profit and loss responsibility.
• Champion diversity and inclusion within the firm.
