Job summary

JP Morgan Chase in Jersey City is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to join the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls. You will be a core technical contributor delivering secure software solutions and helping shape the future of software security across the enterprise.

As a team lead, you will mentor engineers, oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of security controls, drive IaC and CI/CD automation, and collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in Engineering or Cybersecurity concepts.
• 5+ years as software, cloud, or DevOps engineer or equivalent.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise security solutions.
• Programming/scripting for automation and integration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the security engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of security solutions for enterprise-scale deployments.
• Develop and enforce robust change management practices to ensure system integrity and security.
• Define and implement infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling.
• Develop secure production code and review code written by others in Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Engage with third-party vendors and collaborate with internal teams.
• Minimize security vulnerabilities by following industry insights and regulations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address security needs.
