Job summary

Collibra is seeking a Security Engineer to design and operate systems safeguarding data, infrastructure, and customers. You will implement zero-trust, IAM controls, and secure architectures across cloud environments, while managing threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent related experience.
• 5 years of experience in Information Security or a related technical field.
• Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows and IaC.
• Hands-on with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, and incident response tools.
• Knowledge of network/app security, IAM, encryption, and data protection.
• Experience with AI tools to improve security workflows is a plus.
• US citizenship and US soil residency required; visa sponsorship not available.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design secure architectures across cloud environments, embedding zero-trust and identity-based controls.
• Manage threat detection, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify risks.
• Lead incident response and leverage threat intelligence to contain evolving threats.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, CIS, OWASP, SOC 2, CSA and improve security posture.
• Support internal and external security audits with required documentation.
