Job summary

American AgCredit is seeking a Security Engineer to operate and enhance its security platforms, focusing on vulnerability management and incident response. The role collaborates with infrastructure, cloud, endpoints, and vendors to identify, prioritize, and remediate threats.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in security operations, strong analytical skills, and experience with risk-based prioritization. Remote-friendly, with travel <10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise tech environments.
• Experience with vulnerability management, security operations, or security engineering is preferred.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls & Benchmarks.
• Occasional travel required (<10%).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize security platforms for vulnerability management, threat detection, endpoint and cloud security.
• Coordinate vulnerability management across endpoints, servers, apps, cloud, and networks; prioritize remediation.
• Assess configurations and controls to identify weaknesses and provide remediation guidance.
• Monitor threat intelligence, conduct threat hunting, and improve detection capabilities.
• Investigate incidents and coordinate containment and remediation with teams and vendors.
• Develop tools, dashboards, reporting, and workflows to improve security operations.
