Job summary

Sixgen in Sterling, VA is seeking a Security Engineer to perform security assessments across applications, systems, and devices for IC, DoD, and DoJ customers. The role requires US citizenship and a current Top Secret clearance, and is in-office.

You will review code and hardware, conduct static/dynamic analysis, perform SCA, and generate actionable reports. Proficiency in C, Rust, Python, Linux, cryptography, and reverse engineering is expected, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform security assessments across applications, systems, and devices.
• Experience with software and hardware security best practices.
• Familiarity with cryptographic algorithms and techniques.
• Proficiency in reviewing source code, schematics, and documentation.
• Capability to develop proof of concept capabilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform software and hardware design reviews.
• Review source code, schematics, and documentation.
• Perform static and dynamic analysis of compiled code.
• Conduct Software Composition Analysis (SCA) to identify risks.
• Generate reports with findings and corrective steps.
• Develop tools and scripts to augment workflow.
• Maintain knowledge of current security tactics and procedures.
• Understand cryptographic algorithms, implementations, and techniques.
• Develop proof of concept capabilities as needed.
