Job summary

UltraViolet Cyber, a leading security operations company, seeks a Security Engineer to support SOC engineering efforts and elevate client cybersecurity posture. You will handle event collection, correlation, and automated operations for a DHS-related program from a US-based team.

Role requires at least three years in security-focused IT engineering, hands-on Linux/Windows security policy work, and experience with Ansible, Splunk, VMware, and log collection.

Qualifications

• At least three years of security-focused IT engineering experience.
• Experience with security operations and management of network security devices.
• Hands-on with Linux, Windows, and OS X security policies.
• Experience with Ansible, Splunk, VMware, and log collection.

Responsibilities

• File and directory management using essential tools and command-line environments.
• System operations: manage running systems, boot levels and services.
• Storage configuration: partitions, logical volumes, file system attributes.
• User and group management: create and manage users, groups, access control.
• Security management: configure firewalls, SELinux, system hardening; software management.
