Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity or security engineering experience.
• Experience owning and delivering security projects independently.
• Strong understanding of security operations, threat detection, investigation, and incident analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, including: KQL query development, detection rule creation, dashboard development, security investigations.
• Experience managing vulnerability remediation and security findings through resolution.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex security issues and drive solutions with minimal oversight.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand the broader security picture and work as a trusted engineering partner.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve cybersecurity controls and processes across enterprise environments.
• Investigate security events and perform end-to-end analysis to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and root causes.
• Build and maintain detections, dashboards, and analytics within Microsoft Sentinel.
• Develop and refine security monitoring use cases using KQL and other security engineering tools.
• Manage remediation efforts for security findings and vulnerabilities from discovery through validated closure.
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, application, and security teams to strengthen overall security posture.
• Write, test, automate, and document security processes, scripts, and technical solutions.
• Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend practical improvements.
• Contribute to PKI-related initiatives including certificate-based authentication, certificate lifecycle management, and related security controls when needed.
• Operate independently while supporting larger security initiatives and strategic projects.
