Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen network and infrastructure security, develop security recommendations, assess controls, and contribute to security architecture methodologies. The role requires collaboration with identity, applications, data, and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities include contributing to security frameworks, maturity models, and roadmap planning for security across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer/Engineering Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field OR 10 years of work experience in cybersecurity engineering.
• 3+ years of work experience in cybersecurity engineering.
• Experience developing and integrating cybersecurity designs for systems and networks.
• Experience documenting and addressing organizational security architecture and systems security engineering requirements.
• Experience defining baseline security requirements and contributing to system security context and CONOPS development.
• Experience documenting protection needs and security controls for information systems and networks.
• Ability to perform security reviews, identify gaps in architecture or controls, and develop security risk management plans.
• Experience using vulnerability scanning tools for operating systems, web applications, and databases.
• Skill in translating operational requirements into security controls.
• Experience working with Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
• Hands on experience with Windows and Linux, including configuration, maintenance, and system management.

• Collaborate with technical leads to shape a cohesive and modern security strategy.
• Translate operational requirements into security controls and document protection needs.
