Job summary

Figure is seeking a Security Engineering Intern for Winter 2027 to join the Security & Privacy team. The role focuses on security of robots, corporate infrastructure, and AI systems, requiring strong software engineering skills across C/C++, Rust, Golang, and Python.

You will assess security across applications, embedded systems, and services, and build tooling for a secure development lifecycle while championing user privacy and enterprise security posture.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong foundation in security fundamentals: threat modeling, system security, web security, network security, and cryptography.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and work independently with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments of applications, embedded systems, back-end services, and business integrations.
• Build tooling for a secure development lifecycle.
• Design and implement technical solutions to protect robots, infrastructure, and users.
• Develop data governance and anonymization systems.
• Build security controls to manage Figure enterprise security posture.
