Job summary

Figure is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Security & Privacy team in San Jose, CA. This full-time position focuses on the security of our humanoid robot and backend services. Applicants should have strong software engineering skills and application security experience.

The role requires in-office collaboration five days a week. The US base salary range is $150,000 - $350,000 annually, based on experience and skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in application security or related security role.
• Solid foundation in cryptography and secure coding practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments of applications and embedded systems.
• Design solutions to mitigate security weaknesses.
• Build frameworks to prevent vulnerabilities.
• Hunt for vulnerabilities in backend services and robot systems.
• Champion security and user privacy.

Skills

Application security domain experience

Software engineering skills (C/C++, Rust, Golang, Python)

Experience with embedded systems security

Web security knowledge

Strong communication skills

Education

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
