Job summary

Figure, an AI robotics company headquartered in San Jose, CA, seeks a Security Engineering Intern for Winter 2027. You will work on security of robots, corporate infrastructure, and AI systems, collaborating across teams to break and build complex software systems with emphasis on privacy.

You will evaluate threats, assist in governance, and contribute to secure development practices while gaining hands-on experience in embedded systems security and cloud security domains.

Qualifications

• Experience in security domains (application, enterprise, cloud, detection/response, hardware security, or privacy).
• Strong software engineering skills in C/C++, Rust, Golang, Python or similar.
• Foundations in threat modeling, system security, web/network security, and cryptography.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments of applications, embedded systems, back-end services, and integrations; build tooling for secure SDLC.
• Design and implement security solutions to protect robots, infrastructure, and users.
• Design and implement data governance and anonymization systems.
• Develop security controls for enterprise security posture including Identity, DLP, device hardening, and Zero Trust.
