Job summary

CareOregon is seeking an IS Security Engineer II to implement and mature its security program. You will design, deploy, and maintain security technologies, policies, and controls to support business strategy.

In this role you will assess risks, respond to incidents, and collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with standards. This position offers a collaborative environment and opportunities to influence security architecture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience delivering information security solutions and related services.
• Experience with WAN firewalls, proxies, and DMZ design.
• Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CCSP, CISM or Microsoft Security are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Security Design and Development: design and maintain security technologies (firewalls, proxies, logging) and advise on best practices.
• Security Administration and Operations: manage tickets, maintain systems, analyze needs, and generate performance reports.
• Standards and Policy Administration: propose requirements, review systems for standards compliance, and develop security policies.
• Vendor Coordination and Relations: manage data exchanges, contracts, licenses, and SLAs with outside parties.
