Job summary

Amazon Global Media and Entertainment Security is seeking a Security Engineer II to partner with engineering teams to embed security into services before launch, and to provide frontline support for security incidents at scale.

You will design and automate guardrails, collaborate across divisions, and apply AI/ML to threat detection, helping protect millions of customers and content worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar OO language.
• 2+ years scripting, programming, and security code review in a non-internship role.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.
• Knowledge of HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP networking.

Responsibilities

• Embed security into applications from ideation and design stages with secure architecture guidance.
• Define and drive long-term security strategy; participate in on-call rotations for incidents.
• Build scalable, self-service tools to identify and remediate risks at the speed of business.
• Design, build, and maintain automated guardrails and secure-by-default practices.
• Leverage AI/ML to accelerate security assessments and threat detection.
