Qualifications

• 3+ years of security engineering experience across applications, cloud, AI security, incident response and threat intelligence.
• Experience with one of: Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C.
• 2+ years applying AI/ML for security use cases including prompt engineering, LLM integration, or ML pipelines.
• Experience with cloud security architecture (AWS) including IAM, VPC, KMS, and monitoring services.
• Proven ability to design and deliver large scale distributed systems with high availability and operational maturity.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership including design, build, maintain, and expand AI powered security automation solutions at scale.
• Develop and maintain agentic AI workflows enabling faster security issue resolution.
• Build evaluation frameworks and feedback loops to measure accuracy, reliability, and safety of AI driven security tools.
• Partner with teams across Amazon to fine tune models for use cases in Amazon Ads, including anomaly detection and log analysis.
• Define technical roadmaps for security automation initiatives and drive alignment across partner teams.
• Author and review technical design documents, threat models, and architecture proposals for security automation services.
• Mentor engineers on secure AI/ML system development and security automation patterns.
• Establish operational excellence standards for AI security systems, including monitoring and on-call safeguards.
• Participate in on call rotations for security automation services and rapid incident response.
• Provide leadership updates through narratives and reviews on status, risks, and decisions.
