Job summary

Flywire is hiring a Security Engineer II to join the Active Operational Defender track. You will gain hands-on experience in penetration testing, threat detection, and incident response within a fast-paced fintech environment.

You will work under senior engineers to deliver independent testing and craft detection strategies, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to improve security operations and resilience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with penetration testing, security operations, or related roles.
• Familiarity with SIEM concepts and detection engineering.
• Proficiency in scripting languages for security testing and automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform offensive security testing and support live incidents under guidance.
• Design and tune SIEM detection rules and alert workflows.
• Assist with incident response and post‑incident analysis.
