Job summary

Simmons Bank is seeking a Level I/II Security Engineer to join its Security Engineering Team in Fort Worth, TX. You will help design, implement, and maintain security solutions across identity, email, network, endpoint, data protection, and vulnerability management while supporting day-to-day operations of the Information Security Program.

You will configure and monitor security systems, respond to incidents, collaborate with vendors and leadership, and mentor junior staff while pursuing

Qualifications

• Minimum of six(6) years of experience in information technology, network engineering, or security engineering (required)
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
• Direct experience administering security systems such as: endpoint protection, network access control, web content filtering, data loss prevention, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls (required)
• Experience in operational roles supporting IT systems, networks, or application and direct experience conducting basic troubleshooting steps, documenting tickets, and communicating with end-users (required)
• Certifications such as CompTia A+, Security+, Network+ (required)
• CISSP, SSCP, CEH, or other intermediate security related certifications (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Contributes substantially to the design and implementation of security systems
• Identifies and documents system security requirements to assist with solution selection
• Assists with evaluation of new technologies or process improvements that enhance security capabilities
• Serves as specialist for certain security systems
• Configure, maintain, and monitor the Company's security systems
• Supports Level I with service requests and incidents
• Handles service requests and incident tickets pertaining to security systems
• Reviews system alerts and responds per procedures
• Researches, tests, and presents proposed security changes to IT and leadership
• Maintains team documentation for security systems
• Participates in rotating on-call schedule
• Mentors other team members and supports cross-training
• Communicates security concerns to management
• Pursues IT and/or Security certifications
• Takes initiative and responsibility for achieving results
